Every man’s home is his castle, but what if it were his prison instead? Jerry is a prosperous surgeon and the head of a dysfunctional family consisting of a wife and two kids. One day, they wake up and find themselves sealed into their home and under surveillance of a psychopath. Jerry and his family will be forced to face their darkest secrets and the deepest despair with death ever following close behind. Strangers is the new novel by the consistent Michaelbrent Collings. I haven’t read a Collings book I didn’t like and this is no exception. This is the story with an inverted sense of home because instead of being a place of safety, it is a deathtrap. The book begins slowly at first and the chapters are incredibly short. It can be a little frustrating, but if you keep going you will be rewarded for your efforts. Strangers is Collings’s most penetrating book because it deals with self-honesty. Everybody in Jerry’s family is hiding something and no one is innocent. Their secrets have caused a rift between each of them. They have to face the truth behind their guilt in order to move on, let alone survive whatever the mysterious killer has in store for them. In some cases, this book is gut-wrenching because you come to realize how flawed people can be. All in all, this is a riveting and exciting book that gets better and better as you turn the pages. This isn’t just a horror novel or a good read, this is a serious book that has something important to say. Be sure to get his one. Collings’s books can be found on Amazon.com Attachments:
