After being pulled from the internet a few weeks back, Bloody-disgusting just been given the first hi-res look at Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears) in Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema's Friday the 13th remake. What do you think of the masked killer who will return to the big screen on February 13, 2009? The pic directed by Marcus Nispel is the retelling of the original Friday the 13th about teenaged summer camp counselors that are systematically slaughtered by a mysterious killer. Jason Voorhees will wear the mask and kill, keeping the famous setting of Crystal Lake.

I am... not impressed. He's not bad but... meh. Is it just me, or does it look like he's got long blonde hair?

I am not that impressed either Flunky. He is not very bulked up, I always thought Jason was bigger..I have my doubts about this whole remake. Visions of the HALLOWEEN remake and more disappointment. And yeah he looks to be a bleach blonde!! what is that about?!

Now that you mention it he does look pretty lanky. And what Halloween remake? I don't know what you're talking about. Whatever it is, it never happened.

I'm not looking forward to this movie at all but I will see it out of morbid curiosity.

I'll see it for Jared Padalecki because he is hot and really tall. Those are really my only expectations for the film. Jared will be hot and tall.

In my opinion, Kane Hodder is still the best Jason hands down.

I still can't wrap my mind around how they conceived a remake of the original Friday with Jason as the killer. Are they familiar with the series? Did they see the first one? And what part of Jason X Made anyone say "This franchise is awesome and would be great with a restart!"

Say what you will, Jason X, while being a bit far fetched, had some really great kills in it.

I'm wondering if the long hair and lankiness is because, like in the original, the killer is Mrs. Vorhees, only now she's dressed as the hockey mask-wearing Jason.
